Windward For A Cure began as a member/guest tennis tournament eight years ago. A group of Windward tennis friends began this event in memory of Kathleen Dyer, an avid Windward Lake Club tennis player, who lost her life to brain cancer within three weeks of being diagnosed. Since then our north Fulton community has lost many more friends to cancer.

With their lives as inspiration, Windward For A Cure: A Taste and A Toast has grown to include Windward and our wider North Fulton community. With a sellout audience in 2006, the event moved from the Golf Club of Georgia to the Metropolitan Club where it has continued to grow. With the participation of the Windward community and local businesses, we have been able to raise $152,000 over the past three years for the north metro chapter of the American Cancer Society.
